Senior Intelligence Leader in Charge of Bombs for al-Shabaab Turns Himself In

March 9, 2015-Geeskaafrica.com has reported that Abdallahi Ahmd Mohamed, a senior technical security expert who was trained by al-Qaeda in bombs, has surrendered to Somalia’s police force. he has been turned over to the Somalia National Army.

According to the report, Abdallahi was a top official at al-Shabaab’s Amniyat Unit that deals with intelligence, suicide bomb training and recruitment.

The head of the National Security Agency, Mahad Roble, said that Abdullahi was behind most of the bombings in Somalia. Roble says he [Abdallahi] is now ready to help the government fight the terrorists.

Abdallahi is being flown to Mogadishu for interrogation.
