Al-Shabaab Attacks Popular Mogadishu Hotel: At Least 25 Dead

February 20, 2015-Al-Shabaab attacked a popular hotel in downtown Mogadishu today, killing at least 25 people. The hotel is a popular meeting place for Somali politicians. Government lawmakers were were holding Friday prayers at the hotel.

Two explosions rocked the hotel, close to the presidential palace followed by gunmen storing the compound and shooting their way through the premises.

At least 25 were killed and many severely injured. The death toll is expected to rise.
