December 20, 2014-The New Zealand Herald reports that a senior official in the Kenyan government responded to US criticism over its new security legislation. US State Department Jen Psaki is quoted as saying, “We’re…concerned about provisions that appear to limit freedom of assembly and media, and access to asylum for refugees.”
Munyori Buku, a senior Kenyan official said in a statement on President Uhuru’s website that Kenya’s new law has checks and balances, unlike US security laws that have created the Guantanamo Bay detention center and laws and given the FBI and intelligence officers “a carte blanche in the fight against terrorism and biological warfare.”

It is underefundable that what United States said may not be pleasing to Kynian government. However, instead of pulling trigger and shooting back like tit for tat, it should have instead sent some sort of low level, but firm diplomatic message not to repeat such an offence again in a public arena.
