Tony Blair Cites Ethiopia, Rwanda and Mozambique Africa’s Top Investment Countries

Addis Ababa, 17 February 2015 (WIC) - Former U.K Prime Minister, Tony Blair, has named Ethiopia along with Rwanda and Mozambique as Africa’s leading investment destinations.

He was speaking last week during a major investment conference in South Africa.

“Rwanda, Ethiopia and Mozambique are examples of better governance and where economic and investment opportunities are very clear,” said Blair.

He added, “Rwanda is a well-run country.”

During his stay in Africa, Blair is scheduled to visit the 23.7 million US dollars Rwamagana solar power plant, located near the Agahozo Shalom Youth Village in the Eastern Province of Rwanda.

The plant, unveiled on February 5 as the first utility-scale solar power plant in East Africa, will contribute 8.5 megawatts to the national grid. (Diretube)
