Ethiopian Embassy Attacked by Protesters

September 30, 2014-On Monday, a handful of protesters at the Ethiopian embassy in Washington, D.C.forced their way into the consulate section while others took down the Ethiopian flag and replaced it with a flag from the monarchy. The assailants harassed consulate staff and destroyed documents for consulate services. As the protesters rushed the consulate staff, an embassy security officer shot a pistol into the air. The staff called the secret services who made no arrests. The assailants fled the scene.
