Djibouti President’s Physician Shot at Airport

August 26, 2014-Africa Times News reports that a member of the Republican Guard shot and wounded the President’s doctor and at least one other person at Djibouti’s airport. President Ismail Omar Guelleh was returning from the IGAD heads of state summit in Addis Ababa. The president had left the airport earlier. His doctor had remained and was injured in the shooting.
