Ethiopian Foreign Minister Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus represented the Government of Ethiopia, and gave remarks highlighting the strong diplomatic ties between the United States and Ethiopia.

In her remarks, Ambassador Haslach highlighted two big initiatives that have taken place this year: the inauguration of a direct flight to Los Angeles by Ethiopian Airlines and the marking of the 25th anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

In honor of the ADA anniversary, Ambassador Haslach recognized Berhane Daba, the recipient of the 2015 National Peace Corps Association’s Harris Wofford Global Citizen Award. (HAN)
